The Daswell Story: A Name That Reflects Our Purpose
The name Daswell is more than a brand — it’s a statement of who we are and what we stand for. Our roots trace back to our original Chinese name, Dawei (达威), meaning “to achieve” and “to be strong” — a fitting symbol of our mission to design and build powerful, reliable machinery.
As we began our global expansion in 2012, we sought to stand apart from lower-quality offerings and restore confidence in Chinese heavy machinery on the world stage. This vision gave birth to the name Daswell — a name that honors our heritage while embracing our international aspirations.
“Das” comes from the German word for “this,” reflecting the precision and high standards of German engineering. “Well” conveys our promise of quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
